Frequently asked questions
Is this a complete, full-year history curriculum?
Generally speaking, no — it's designed as an enriching elective class. However, if you'd like it to serve as your child's primary history curriculum you can assign additional at-home assignments to round it out to meet your state's requirements.
Do I need to have seen the movie first?
Not at all! Clips from the film are woven into the lessons themselves, so everything makes sense in context. That said, watching the movie together as a family at the end of the year will be sure to impress everyone how much your child has learned!
How much homework is involved?
Very little. This is primarily a hands-on, in-class experience. Students who are curious are welcome to explore topics further at home, but it's never required.
Can I use this for a co-op group?
Absolutely — the curriculum is designed with both group co-ops meeting once per week and individual homeschool families in mind. The games and activities are especially fun with a group!
